The Elevations Credit Union Buffalo Bicycle Classic is holding a bike ride fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, to celebrate its 22-year support of the College of Arts & Sciences BBC Scholarship Fund. Participants can select from seven road routes, two gravel routes and a virtual ride, each of varying lengths and elevations so that riders of all abilities can participate. New for 2024, the 10-mile “Little Buff” route has been refreshed to gear it toward kids and families. All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt, cycling water bottle, finisher’s meal and (for the 21-and-older) beer from Left Hand Brewery (remember your IDs!). Aid stations are stocked with tasty food, water and electrolyte drinks, and every route is fully supported with mechanics and “support and gear” vehicles ready to lend a hand. More than 1,300 participants are expected to attend.
Until September 1, CU Boulder faculty and staff members can use the code CUSTAFF for $20 off, and CU students can use the code CUSTUDENT for $50 off of registration. CU students and staff must use their @sampgaming.com email when registering to receive the discount. For teams of 10 or more riders, there is an additional $15 off per rider. The refund is given once the tenth person registers for the team.
